Workshop Vendor Rules & Policies

To be considered for the 2026 Ormewood Park Makers Festival, please complete the online application in full. If you have any questions, please contact us at workshopmanager@makersfest.org.

Payment of $125 for a 10X10 vendor footprint should be made at the time of application for the Ormewood Park Makers Festival. Your payment will be refunded if you are not selected to be a part of the Artist Market.

Included in your festival fee is a 10X10 footprint for your booth space and at least one promotion on the Ormewood Park Makers Festival Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter social media outlets. It is each vendor’s responsibility to furnish your own tent, table, and chairs.

The Festival will manage workshop registrations/ticketing on your behalf, via the Festival website. To ensure that the Festival is covering its costs, we will retain 15% of workshop ticket sales (5% for nonprofits). This admin fee will only apply to workshops that charge participants for registration (free workshops will remain free). This admin fee will help cover credit card processing fees, marketing costs and workshop-related overhead costs, enabling the Festival to better promote and support our workshop hosts! Please take this admin fee into consideration when setting pricing. A check for the full sales amount of your workshop (less the applicable admin fee) will be distributed on the day of the Festival, after the conclusion of your workshop.

Once accepted, you give Ormewood Park Makers Festival permission to use photos submitted in your application for the festival’s promotional purposes, both online and in print. Where applicable, credit for photos will be given to the owner.

Vendors will receive information regarding load in and setup 1 week prior to the festival. Vendors that fail to abide by load in schedule and deadline may risk forfeiture of Artist Market space. In the event of late shows, Ormewood Park Makers Festival will not be obligated to refund event space fee.

All vendors of Ormewood Park Makers Festival must adhere to the following rules and regulations necessary for the proper conduct of a safe, clean, well regulated, and attractive festival.

• Artist booth will remain within a 10X10 space. Vendors are expected to furnish their own tent, tables, chairs and in-tent lighting.

• Space is limited to vendors who sell only self-produced artwork and products.

• The Ormewood Park Makers Festival Committee reserves the right to refuse exhibit space if the product or service or the booth area is not consistent with the character of the event.

• All exhibits must be designed, constructed and operated in good taste with the best interest of the event and public safety. The Festival reserves the right to prohibit or restrict exhibits that because of noise, method of operation, materials or any other reason become objectionable. In the event that restriction occurs, the Festival will not refund the Vendor fees or other expenses. Carnival tactics, the use of public address systems or other similar activities by the Vendor shall not be allowed.

• Vendors may not sublease any part of their space or participate in any third-party advertising or third party promotions or display third party signage at their booths.

• Decorations may not be nailed, taped, tacked or otherwise fastened to neighborhood infrastructure, trees, or fixtures.

• The use or distribution of any of the following items is prohibited: adhesive backed decals, stickers, helium balloons, glitter, and confetti.

• Motorized vehicles of any type (forklifts, gas or electric carts, bicycles, scooters or similar equipment) may not be used within the event venue.

• Distribution of flyers, brochures or any advertising marketing materials must be confined to the exhibit area. Advertising and promotional materials may not be displayed in walk paths or common areas. Promotional materials or signage may not be affixed to any structure, tree, neighborhood signage or infrastructure.

• Vendors are responsible for maintaining acceptable standards of sanitation within their booths and for disposing of trash into designated trash receptacles. Vendors are responsible for cleaning their designated area of all debris at the event’s conclusion.

By submitting application materials and signing this Agreement, the Workshop Host ("Vendor") agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Ormewood Park Makers Festival (the "Festival"), South Atlantans for Neighborhood Development ("SAND"), its Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and the City of Atlanta from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, expenses, or liabilities arising out of or related to the Vendor's participation in the Festival.

The Vendor acknowledges and agrees that the Festival, SAND, its Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and the City of Atlanta shall not be responsible for any personal injury, illness, death, property damage, or loss of property that may occur during or in connection with the Festival.

The Vendor further certifies that the Vendor and the Vendor's property, equipment, and vehicles are properly insured against any losses incurred or damages caused by the Vendor or the Vendor's employees, contractors, or agents.

The Vendor acknowledges that it is an independent operator and that this Agreement does not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or other similar relationship between the Vendor and the Festival. The Vendor, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents shall not represent themselves as representatives or agents of the Festival.

The Vendor shall not enter into any contract or other agreement that would cause the Festival to incur any obligation or liability to any third party, including manufacturers, suppliers, or other vendors.

The Vendor shall indemnify and hold the Festival harmless from any costs, claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the Vendor's products, merchandise, services, or other activities related to the Festival.

The Ormewood Park Makers Festival (the "Festival") is a rain-or-shine event. The Festival makes no representations or guarantees regarding festival attendance, vendor sales, or the financial success of any Vendor.

The Vendor acknowledges and agrees that weather conditions, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the Festival's control may affect the operation of the Festival. Such events may include, but are not limited to, rain, storms, flooding, high winds, lightning, hurricanes, or other severe weather.

The Festival reserves the sole and absolute discretion to delay, suspend, evacuate, modify, or cancel the Festival, in whole or in part, if it determines that doing so is necessary to protect the safety of participants, attendees, volunteers, or property, including in response to severe weather or other emergency conditions.

The Festival, South Atlantans for Neighborhood Development (SAND), its Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and the City of Atlanta shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, expense, or claim arising from weather conditions, acts of God, emergency actions taken by the Festival, or the modification, interruption, evacuation, or cancellation of the Festival. The Vendor assumes all risks associated with participating in an outdoor event, including the risk of financial loss due to weather or reduced attendance.

Prior to Saturday September 19, 2026, booth fee refunds may be requested via email. After 11:59PM on Friday September 18, 2026, no refunds are granted.
